Chris McDaniel Calls on Cindy Hyde-Smith to Push Back Against McConnell, Support Rand Paul's Amendment to Defund Planned Parenthood

U.S. Senate candidate Chris McDaniel is calling on appointed Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith to fight to defund Planned Parenthood and other organizations that provide abortions from government funding.

Senator Rand Paul is introducing an amendment to a spending bill that's currently being debated in the Senate that would do just that.

"It's time for us to walk the walk instead of talking the talk," McDaniel said. "Republicans control the House, the Senate and the White House. There's absolutely no reason we shouldn't be able to cut off Planned Parenthood and any other abortion provider from any and all government funding. The taxpayers of this country should never be forced to provide corporate welfare to the abortion industry."

McDaniel is known throughout Mississippi and the country as a strong defender of life. He says he would fight alongside Senator Paul to get this amendment passed.

McDaniel added that he wouldn't vote for any budget that doesn't defund all abortion providers and sanctuary cities as well as fully funding the wall along the Southern border with Mexico.
